A Florida man fired a gun at his roommate during an argument over a cat, police said.
According to an affidavit obtained by FOX 35 from the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, 59-year-old Glenn White shot his female roommate 10 times. Seven of the bullets were in his lower legs, two in his ribs and one in his fingers.
Police said they were dispatched to a South Florida home on March 8 after receiving a report of a shooting.
When they arrived, they found the victim had been shot multiple times, according to the affidavit.

Authorities arrested White and the victim was taken to Gulf Coast Medical Center.
Police said the victim was awake and sane and told authorities the shooting stemmed from an argument between the two in the days leading up to the incident.
The woman said she allowed White to stay at her home, noting that he had recently been kicked out of her home.
She said he moved in with three cats, which quickly doubled to six.
According to the affidavit, the victim stated that she wanted White’s six cats to be kept outside instead of inside.
The victim told White he was going to leave it outside in a fenced-in area, police said.

Shortly thereafter, the affidavit states, White began firing shots at the victim.
“I’m going to kill you, you-” White told her. “i will kill you.”
Police said the victim “begged” White to stop, and White eventually allowed him to call 911.
When authorities were called, they found four 40mm shell casings in the bedroom and a black and silver Smith & Wesson SD40 firearm on top of a dresser.

Law enforcement officials also observed a blood trail from the bedroom to the dining room where the woman’s cell phone was located.

White was charged with one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, according to Lee County Sheriff’s Office online booking records.
White is being held in the Lee County Jail on $25,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear in court on April 8th.
