A hellish mother in Florida kept her 14-year-old daughter's head underwater in the bathtub until she drowned, according to police.
On Wednesday, Sheriff Marcos Lopez said another child and a roommate who lived in a Poinciana town home found 35-year-old Kelsey Glover in an upstairs bathroom attempting to kill her child, Gisele. He told reporters at a press conference on Thursday..
“They tried to stop her but were unsuccessful. Eventually, Ms. Glover attacked these witnesses with a hammer and began chasing them around the house, which prompted them to call 911 as well. ,” Lopez said.
When Osceola County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a gruesome murder in the town of Poinciana, they had to wrest tools from Glover's hands.
Paramedics rushed Gisele to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Police are still investigating how a mother came to the point where she killed her own daughter.
“What happened to her is unimaginable and we are determined to get justice for Gisele,” Lopez said.
Glover, who has no criminal record, is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and battery. Additional charges may be filed once the cause of Gisele's death is determined, Lopez said.
