Florida police charge man with murder after crashing semi-truck into Tampa strip club

A North Carolina man has been charged with murder and several other felonies after crashing a large tractor-trailer into a gentlemen’s club in Tampa, Florida, Tuesday morning, killing one person and injuring two others, police said.

Tampa police said 25-year-old Dylan Fogle of Thomasville, North Carolina, has been charged with one count of first-degree murder, two counts of attempted first-degree murder, one count of homicide by vehicle, two counts of DUI causing serious injury and one count of negligent homicide by DUI.

Officers were called to the scene around 4:20 a.m. Tuesday after receiving a report of a pedestrian being hit by a truck in the parking lot of Emperor’s Gentlemen’s Club on Adamo Drive.

When officers arrived on scene, they found a truck had crashed into the front of the building leading to the entrance to the adult entertainment venue.

Witnesses told police that Fogle was chased out of the club and then drove a large tractor-trailer into a group of people standing at the entrance.

A preliminary investigation revealed that Fogle had been removed from the facility for inappropriate conduct.

Police said six people, including the three victims, were standing at the entrance.

One of the victims, Giovanni Soto, died at the scene.

The other two adult males sustained serious injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital. Both victims have since been released.

Fogle was also taken to the hospital, where police said his blood alcohol content was above the legal limit of 0.08 percent.

He was booked into Orient Road Prison and held without bail.
