Teenage Dirt Biker Leads Police on Chase
A 15-year-old from Naples, Florida is facing serious charges after allegedly leading police on a chase while riding an electric dirt bike during rush hour. Kyle Vincent Siemon was reported by the Collier County Sheriff’s Office.
The incident occurred Tuesday night when officers saw Siemon riding recklessly on Golden Gate Parkway around 6 p.m. He was said to have shown “zero regard for public safety,” with dashcam footage capturing his dangerous high-speed maneuvers through traffic.
When deputies attempted a traffic stop, Siemon sped away, reportedly reaching nearly 110 mph. Despite officers activating their lights and sirens, he kept looking back as he weaved through traffic, jumping onto sidewalks and veering into oncoming lanes.
Officials decided to call off the pursuit due to the hazardous conditions created by his actions. Shortly thereafter, Siemon lost control while descending a hill near Santa Barbara Boulevard, sending his bike into a ditch. He was then taken into custody without further incident.
Siemon has been transported to the Collier County Jail, facing charges that include escape and flight from law enforcement. Sheriff Kevin Rambosk commented on the situation, noting that the reckless driving endangered both pedestrians and motorists. He emphasized the importance of safety on local streets and sidewalks, praising deputies for their handling of the situation.
