Florida Woman Shocked to Find Massive Alligator in Her Kitchen

Homeowners in Venice, Florida got the shock of their lives when a scaly intruder broke into their home.

Mary Hollenbach was relaxing at home when she heard a rattling sound on the screen door, WESH report Tuesday. When she went to find out what was making the noise, she almost jumped.

The alligator pushed open the screen door, wandered out into the hallway, and stopped in the kitchen. Hollenbach immediately called 911 and asked for help for the creature.

“I tried to be consistent, but long story short, I told him I had a crocodile in the house. He was processing paperwork and receiving papers. He said, ‘The length of the crocodile is How much?” he said. I said, ‘Eight feet,”’ the woman recalled.

In response to her plea for help, several Sarasota County deputies and Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission employees came to rescue Hollenback from the squatters who had given her so much fear, NBC 2 News. report Monday.
