Assassination of Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University

New footage from a witness shows chaos unfolding during the assassination of Charlie Kirk. This incident occurred at a speaking event for Turning Point USA on Wednesday at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. Kirk was shot and later transported to a nearby hospital, where he unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.

Following the shooting, two individuals were detained for questioning by law enforcement but were subsequently released. The FBI has shared images of a person of interest—a man wearing jeans, a black shirt with an American flag graphic, and sunglasses. A reward of $100,000 is being offered for information leading to the capture of the person responsible for Kirk’s murder.

The FBI stated, “We are offering a reward of up to $100,000 for information that leads to the identification and arrest of the individual responsible for the murder of Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University on September 10, 2025.” This announcement was made via their social media platform.

Witness Lexi Langley, a recent Brigham Young University graduate, described the panic that ensued when people in the crowd instinctively dropped to the ground after the gunfire. “We didn’t know he was shot at the time, and everyone fell to the ground,” she recounted. “I thought maybe this was a mass shooting, so I was ready to hear more shots. I didn’t think it was an attempt at assassination.”

Langley’s video highlights the swift reactions of nearly everyone in the courtyard, falling to the ground as Kirk was shot. She noted that once the gravity of the situation became clear, she felt like she was in a surreal dream. “So many people were crying… It’s like the worst way to bond with strangers. But at that moment, it doesn’t matter who I talk to; we’re all together.”

The investigation continues as the FBI urges anyone with tips regarding the incident to come forward. They can be contacted at 1-800-Call-FBI or through their online portal.
