Democrats Support MS-13 Associate Amid Troubling Allegations
Several Democratic lawmakers, including Maryland’s Senator Chris Van Hollen and Representatives Robert Garcia from California, Maxwell Frost from Florida, Jassamine Ansari from Arizona, and Maxine Dexter from Oregon, have stepped in to support Kilmer Abrego Garcia, who is reportedly associated with the MS-13 gang.
Garcia’s illegal entry into the U.S. raises serious concerns. His previous identification as a risk by two immigration courts—stemming from a traffic violation, domestic abuse accusations, and connections to terrorist organizations—leaves many questioning the rationale behind his Democratic defenders. Yet, recent revelations present an even darker picture.
Traffic Incident Sparks Investigation
A troubling incident involving Abrego Garcia and the Tennessee Highway Patrol occurred on November 30, 2022, which has garnered attention after a video was released. The Department of Justice is now investigating these traffic stops, further fueling the controversy surrounding him.
During this encounter, traffic officials stopped Abrego Garcia for erratic driving. An officer remarked, “He’s getting paid to carry these people.” It raises questions about the nature of Garcia’s activities, particularly given the suspicious cargo he was transporting.
According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, there were hints of human smuggling linked to the MS-13 associate. Officers noted that Garcia was likely receiving payment for transporting individuals, speculating on his motive: “If I had to guess, he’s probably being paid to take them to Maryland.”
Notably, the Tennessee Highway Patrol has alerted the FBI about Garcia’s actions, suggesting a serious escalation in the investigation as agents collected evidence from the incident.
In an odd twist, Garcia ended up driving away with only a warning, a surprising outcome considering his connections to a known trafficker.
The vehicle he was driving—a 2001 black Chevrolet Silverado—was flagged by Homeland Security as registered to Jose Ramon Hernandez Reyes, another individual with a smuggling background. Hernandez Reyes had previously pleaded guilty to smuggling illegal immigrants and was deported after serving time, only to re-enter the U.S. later.
Garcia’s Connections Emerge
Investigators later spoke to Hernandez Reyes while he was incarcerated, who claimed to operate a “taxi service” in Baltimore. He discussed his association with Garcia, stating that they had worked together on multiple occasions since 2015 to smuggle individuals across the country.
Reportedly, they charged around $350 per person for their services. Interestingly, footage from the traffic stop revealed that Garcia was carrying $1,400 in cash at that time.
As this controversy unfolds, the Department of Justice has declined to offer any further comments, leaving many questions unanswered.
