On Friday, a Manhattan jury found former NRA CEO Wayne LaPierre responsible for corruption, and he was ordered to repay more than $4 million to gun rights groups.
fox news report The jury found that Mr. Lapierre “wasted millions of dollars of the group’s funds on personal purchases of luxury goods over a period of 30 years.” AFP noted that a jury found that Mr. LaPierre used the NRA as his “personal piggy bank” and caused the organization $5.4 million in damages.
AFP noted that Mr. Lapierre had repaid $1 million of the $5.4 million.
My office won a major victory in the case against the NRA and its senior leadership over years of corruption and greed.
Wayne LaPierre and other senior NRA executives must pay $6.35 million for abusing the system and breaking the law.

Mr. LaPierre took the helm of the NRA in 1991 and resigned last month.
Breitbart News attempted to interview Mr. LaPierre over the years, but was always given reasons why the interview could not be conducted or needed to wait.
