A Hispanic former classmate of the shooter, Thomas Matthew Crooks, said in an interview with Fox News Digital that Crooks had implied it was foolish to support former President Donald Trump.
Vincent Taormina Said The outlet reported that the 20-year-old is “passionate” about politics but dislikes “all” politicians.
“He didn’t like politicians, especially the choices we’ve made. He didn’t like our politicians,” Taormina said.
In 2016, when Crooks was about 16 years old, he said he “hated the whole thing.”

Taormina did not say when he had spoken to Crooks about Trump, but said, “I brought up the fact that I’m Hispanic and, you know, I support Trump, and he said, ‘You’re Hispanic, so shouldn’t you hate Trump?'”
Taormina responded that Trump was a great president, but said Crooks “insinuated that I was stupid.”
“He knew a lot,” he added. “He acted like he knew everything, especially when it came to politics.”
BREAKING: According to a former classmate of Thomas Crookes, Crookes was a known Trump hater and “know-it-all.”
The FBI still doesn’t know what Crooks’ motive was.

“He was always really conceited and arrogant when he spoke… it was very upsetting,” Taormina said.
He said Crooks was not a loner or a victim of bullying and “definitely had a group of friends who were those types of people who were threatening to shoot up our school.”
Fox News report Investigators said Wednesday they had not found evidence that Crooks had any particular ideology, but said he had posted on a gaming platform called Steam that “premiering July 13th. Watch how it unfolds.”
Investigators also reportedly found Crooks conducting several internet searches in July for keywords such as “Trump,” “Biden,” “when is the Democratic National Convention” and “Trump rally July 13.”
