Last year, Jackson was ridiculed online for asking fans to pay a $5 entry fee to enter a drawing to win an Apple MacBook computer. She described the giveaway as a result: TikTok Live.
“It’s only five bucks, it’s no big deal. It’s called a raffle. I don’t know if you guys ever went to school, but I did, and they always had raffles,” she said firmly.
Seemingly responding to the comment about the fee, Jackson continued, “The money goes towards prizes. Like I said, if we have any money left over, we’ll do a second giveaway in a heartbeat. That’s what the money will be used for.”

Jackson later defended himself, admitting that despite soliciting money for the giveaways, he did not seek or need any financial compensation.
“I don’t need money. Personally, I don’t need money. I don’t mean this to brag or to be mean, I just want you all to know that I personally don’t need money. My life is going really well,” she assured her followers.
