Former first lady's Secret Service agent accidentally shoots himself in the leg, according to reports

A U.S. Secret Service agent, assigned under former First Lady Jill Biden, tragically died by accident after shooting herself in the leg while at a Philadelphia airport. The incident was reported by a source familiar with the situation.

Nate Herring, spokesman for the Secret Service, stated that the injuries stemmed from an accidental discharge during the handling of a service weapon. Notably, the statement did not refer to Jill Biden directly.

Herring explained, “Around 8:30 a.m. on Friday morning, an on-duty Secret Service special agent unintentionally discharged a military-style weapon and sustained non-life-threatening injuries while on guard duty at Philadelphia International Airport.”

The individual involved was not present at the time of the accident. Herring added, “The movements of the protected persons were not affected, and they were not on-site during the incident.”

Fortunately, no other injuries were reported, and the agent is currently being treated at a local hospital in stable condition. Herring mentioned, “The Secret Service’s Office of Professional Responsibility will review the specifics of this incident. We appreciate our law enforcement and public safety partners for their medical assistance.”

Meanwhile, Jill Biden plans to release a memoir later this year, titled “View from the East Wing.”
