Daniel Rodimer, a former professional wrestler who ran unsuccessfully for the Nevada State Assembly several years ago, has turned himself in to police on suspicion of murder in Las Vegas.

Paramedics immediately took Tapp to a nearby hospital, where he remained on life support for several days before passing away on November 5th. The coroner later determined that Tapp had alcohol, cocaine and marijuana in his system, as well as some bleeding on his brain, but he died from blunt force trauma. The medical examiner ruled Tapp’s death a homicide.
The day after the incident, Rodimer’s wife, Sarah Rodimer, wrote that she witnessed her husband “almost killing someone,” according to published text messages. She said, ‘I had to take you [expletive] “If you let go of his neck while he was lying there, you ran away and I spent the next two hours caring for him,” she added.

A warrant for Rodimer’s arrest was issued this week on charges of open murder, meaning prosecutors in Nevada have not yet determined the extent of the murders involved. Rodimer then turned himself in to the Clark County Detention Center, posted $200,000 bail and left. He is scheduled to return to court in April.
His attorneys, David Chesnoff and Richard Schoenfeld, issued a statement noting that Rodimer “voluntarily” surrendered to police and that he “intends to vigorously contest the charges.” insisted. “We also ask that the presumption of innocence ensure respect for all Americans,” he said in a statement.
Originally from New Jersey, Rodimer first became well known in 2004 when he won the WWE Tough Enough contest. He then appeared regularly on ‘WWE Raw’ and also spent several seasons in the Arena Football League.
In 2020, Rodimer ran as a Republican for Nevada’s 3rd Congressional District seat, gaining support from then-President Donald Trump. Rodimer lost to Democratic incumbent Congresswoman Susie Lee by 13,000 votes.
The following year, Rodimer moved to Texas with his wife and six children to compete for the seat vacated by the late U.S. Rep. Ron Wright, who died of the coronavirus. But 22 other candidates also jumped into special election races, and Mr. Rodimer received less than 3% of the vote.
Tapp spent decades in prison after confessing to killing his friend Angie Dodge, 18, in her Idaho Falls apartment in 1996. She was found raped and nearly mutilated in her Idaho Falls apartment in 1996. Tapp was 20 years old when he was arrested for this crime. He claimed that he later recanted his confession and only made the confession after persistent police interrogation. Despite maintaining his innocence, a jury convicted him in 1998 and he spent more than 19 years in prison.
