Former business associates of Hunter Biden are scheduled to testify publicly at the Capitol on Wednesday as Congressional Republicans begin the next phase of their impeachment inquiry into President Biden.
House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer said at the beginning of the hearing that investigators “found no credible evidence that the Bidens provided any work product” throughout the impeachment inquiry. “We were unable to identify any value, documents, or even one hour of evidence.” It’s a job the Bidens offered to their business partners. ”
“After more than a year of investigation, it is clear that the Bidens do not work in the traditional sense. They do not work as consultants, they do not work as lawyers, they do not work as advisors. We’re not selling a product or a service,” Comer would say, according to excerpts of his opening statement obtained by Fox News Digital. “The Biden family is selling Joe Biden.
Comer will say that Joe Biden has “taken action after action to advance his family’s get-rich-quite plan.”
“The fraud is simple: The Biden family promises that by working with the U.S. government, they can solve the problem with their foreign partners,” Comer would say. “It’s been repeated over and over again. The Biden family promises Joe the power, Joe Biden shows up, and millions of dollars go into the Biden family’s pockets.”
Comer added, “Joe Biden is the closer of the Biden family.”
U.S. Navy veteran Tony Bobulinski will appear publicly Wednesday morning at a joint hearing of the House Oversight and Judiciary Committees.
Jason Galanis, who is serving a 14-year sentence, will also testify virtually from the Federal Penitentiary Camp, a minimum-security prison for male inmates in Montgomery, Alabama.

In announcing the hearing earlier this month, Comer also invited Hunter Biden to testify publicly, following repeated requests from his eldest son. Hunter, through his attorney Abby Lowell, declined the invitation.
In a letter to the committee, Rowell called the hearing a “carnival sideshow.”
Comer also invited Devon Archer, a former colleague of Hunter Biden. Archer is not expected to attend.
But Comer said he “criticized Hunter Biden’s bluff.”

“Hunter Biden has said for months that he wanted to hold a hearing, but he refused to attend the hearing when it was proposed to him, along with business associates he has worked with over the years. “There are,” Comer said. “During the deposition and interview stages of our investigation, Hunter Biden revealed that his father, President Joe Biden, lied to the American public about his family’s business dealings and that he actually attended the meetings and was on speakerphone. “I’ve seen significant evidence, including evidence that he spoke and made statements in the United States, including having coffee with foreign business associates who collectively funneled millions of dollars to the Biden family.” ”

Comer had subpoenaed Hunter Biden for a deposition scheduled for early December, but the president’s son defied the subpoena for a private deposition and instead requested that a public hearing be held. Comer, like all other witnesses, has vowed to hold a hearing after the committee requests Hunter Biden’s deposition.
“If you’re investigating a family for corruption at this level, you deserve the truth, and the American people deserve the truth,” Comer said. “We will give Hunter Biden a platform to testify publicly.”
Hunter Biden appeared in a long-awaited deposition last month before both the House Oversight Committee and the Judiciary Committee, stating that his father has never been involved in or profited from his business. he claimed.
The committee also heard similar testimony from the president’s brother, James Biden.

Archer testified before the House Oversight Committee last year that Hunter Biden put his father on speakerphone with business associates at least 20 times.
Wednesday’s hearing, which will not be attended by Hunter or Archer, will feature testimony from Bobulinski, who worked with Hunter Biden to form Sinohawk Holdings, a joint venture with Chinese energy company CEFC. Bobulinski testified behind closed doors that he met privately with Joe Biden for more than 45 minutes in 2017.
Bobulinski also testified that Joe Biden “enabled” his son Hunter to sell access to America’s “most dangerous adversaries,” including the Chinese Communist Party and Russia.

Galanis was questioned by Congressional investigators in prison last month and is a director of a joint venture formed by Hunter Biden and business associates with ties to the Chinese Communist Party after Joe Biden resigned as vice president. He testified that he was considering joining the group.
Galanis also said the term “lean in” was “often used by Mr. Devon and Mr. Hunter in business dealings as a term to access Vice President Biden’s political influence.”

Democrats slammed what they called a “hopeless impeachment inquiry,” with Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.), the head of the Oversight Committee, telling Fox News Digital that the investigation was “not an indictment.” “It started with a series of lies told by a liar who was arrested.” Close proximity to Russian agents. ”
“Then who better to tell you how this campaign of lies and smear works than Lev Parnas himself, Rudy Giuliani’s right-hand man whose original mission was to smear Joe Biden? Is there one?” Ruskin said. “Lev Parnas will be able to expose the false claims at the heart of the impeachment inquiry and, in the process, explain how the Republican Party got into this poor and embarrassing position.”
