Former JPMorgan banker Chirayu Rana was recommended for mental health treatment by the district attorney’s office.

Former JPMorgan banker Chirayu Rana makes surprising new allegations against Lorna Hajdini

Chirayu Rana, a former banker at JPMorgan, was referred for mental health treatment by prosecutors after they began a criminal investigation into his claims that a senior banker transformed him into a “sex slave.” Sources mentioned that the inquiry did not yield any evidence.

Last summer, the Manhattan District Attorney’s office started investigating Rana’s shocking allegations against Lorna Hadjidini, a managing director at JPMorgan, which obviously raised eyebrows. Rana, who is 35, made serious claims regarding Hadjidini, aged 37, but JPMorgan has claimed these allegations are utterly unfounded.

Things took a different turn last week when Hadjidini was accused in a lawsuit of drugging a former colleague, subjecting her to humiliating sexual acts, and using racial slurs while threatening her career. This put the story back in the spotlight.

The timing of when Hadjidini first approached prosecutors with her concerns remains unclear.

Ultimately, the investigation concluded with no evidence of any criminal activity. As a result, the prosecutor’s office referred her for mental health support, although details about this referral remain vague.

In her latest court filing, Hadjidini, who has requested to remain anonymous, referenced the ongoing criminal investigation and the subsequent mental health treatment.

To bolster her claims, she mentioned enrolling in the state’s Address Confidentiality Program, which is generally aimed at safeguarding victims of sexual crimes, after a referral from the prosecutor’s office last September.

Rana also indicated that a counselor from the New York County District Attorney’s Office’s Survivor Services Bureau was involved with him in light of the ongoing criminal inquiry by the Manhattan DA’s office.

He argued that the involvement from external sources validated his status as a victim well before he filed this latest lawsuit.

In her filing, Hadjidini noted that she sought mental health assistance from a psychotherapist back in early February, which predated the DA’s office referral.

Rana’s recent filing even includes a statement from a friend, who, anonymously, claimed that Hadjidini had invited them both to a threesome.

In an email to his therapist last June, Rana detailed various mental health issues, mentioning that he heard Hadjidini’s voice and experienced recurring nightmares related to the alleged events.

According to the filing, a therapist diagnosed him with PTSD in October.

When asked about the investigation into Rana’s claims, prosecutors chose not to comment.

Rana’s attorney has not yet responded to requests for comments.

This situation escalated after Rana, under the pseudonym “John Doe,” previously filed a lawsuit that gained attention online due to its serious allegations against Hadjidini.

Both JPMorgan and Hadjidini firmly deny all allegations related to the case.

JPMorgan’s internal investigation, which scrutinized emails and records, reportedly found no signs of misconduct, according to several sources. Moreover, Rana has stated he will not participate in the bank’s internal investigation.

Additionally, it has come to light that Hadjidini may have deceived her employer regarding her father’s death to secure paid leave, which she allegedly used to prepare for her lawsuit.
