Former Michigan State football player Craig Roe died earlier this week at the age of 33, his wife announced.
President Roh’s wife Chelsea posted on Roh Moo-hyun’s X account to inform people of his death and revealed that he had been quietly battling cancer.
“We wanted to let all of Craig’s followers know that God brought Craig home on Monday, February 26th after an 18-month battle with Stage IV colon cancer.” she wrote. “Craig wasn’t very public about his fights. He really just wanted to focus on providing the best content and building the best product possible.”

Roh Moo-hyun was a sensation as a freshman for the Wolverines, starting 51 consecutive games for the Maize and Blue. He was named All-Freshman Honorable Mention in 2009, All-Big Ten Honorable Mention in 2011, and All-Big Ten Second Team in 2012.
Roh Moo-hyun went undrafted in the 2013 NFL Draft and signed with the Carolina Panthers, but was unable to leave the practice squad and was released during training camp in 2014.
He eventually made it to the Canadian Football League, where he won a Gray Cup with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in 2019.

From 2015 to 2021, he played for the BC Lions, Blue Bombers, and Toronto Argonauts.
“If it wasn’t for Craig, I would never have had the opportunity to live the life I have now. I would never have been angry.” [sic] I went to college, I never would have gone to the NFL, I would never have been sitting in the position I’m in now,” said former college and high school teammate. Taylor Lewan wrote about X.
“I am saddened to hear of the passing of former defensive end Craig Roe, our program’s all-time leader in starting his career.” Added current head coach Sherone Moore.. “Our hearts go out to his family during this difficult time. The entire Roh Moo-hyun family is in my thoughts and prayers, and I wish peace and comfort to all who knew this great Wolverine.” Masu.”

After retiring from soccer, Roh “started working at various technology startups while building an online defensive line coaching soccer business.” According to GoFundMe.
“Craig will be remembered for his incredible rhythm…his passion for pursuing his craft, his unwavering love for Chipotle, and his love for Chipotle. [h]To my wife Chelsea, please take care of your family and commitment to Christ,” the page reads.
