Former MSNBC host ignites anger by likening migrant facilities to concentration camps

Former MSNBC host Tiffany Cross accused President Donald Trump of “inviting” and “transporting him to a concentration camp” during her appearance on CNN on Tuesday night.

Cross mentioned, “I think this is a challenge I have, even to talk about this.” She expressed concern over the normalization of government actions that harm people, stating, “We’re talking like it’s not a big deal for them to lure people and transport them to concentration camps both domestically and abroad.”

New York Post Editor at Large Kelly Jane Torrance responded, claiming, “I think it’s humiliating for Jewish Holocaust survivors.”

Cross later clarified, “I think I am humiliating what they are doing. I am not humiliating the Jewish Holocaust.” She added that it feels uncomfortable to even speak about such behavior.

When Torrance asked if there are “gas ovens” at the detention centers, Cross insisted, “That doesn’t matter! What they’re doing is a concentration camp, and they’re disappearing people.”

White House spokesperson Abigail Jackson reacted strongly, labeling the comments as dangerous. She stated, “These types of obviously wrong, but highly indifferent comments inspire violence against ICE and border patrol officers who are just doing their jobs.” She emphasized that detaining and deporting illegal immigrants does not equate to the horrors of concentration camps.

In a separate note, Trump has mentioned that the only way out of “Algater Alcatraz” is to find exile. He, along with Homeland Security Secretary Christie Noem, recently opened a new immigration detention facility in Florida’s Everglades area.

This facility, located on the grounds of a former airport, is said to accommodate around 5,000 illegal immigrants, aligning with Trump’s campaign promise to eliminate illegal immigration from the country.

CNN has not yet issued a comment on the situation.
