Former NFL punter Chris Kruwe says he was fired from his job as a high school football coach in Southern California after being arrested for protesting at a city council meeting.
Kruwe claims the school provided him with the opportunity to resign and fired him.
“Maga is very corrupt, undoubtedly anti-democratic, and most importantly, Maga is explicitly a Nazi movement,” Kruwe said on February 18th in a discussion about the establishment of plaques with the Magazine acronym in local public libraries. “You might have replaced sw with a red hat, but that's what it is.”
The MAGA acronym being discussed did not mean “making America great again,” as the Trump campaign slogan read. Instead, the library acronyms are “magic”, “charming”, “zinc plating”, and “adventure.”
“The school was told they were paying too much attention and they had to let me go,” Cruwe said of his job as a special team coach for freshmen at Edison High School in Huntington Beach, California. The previous punter says he got a job for five years.
“I knew that was a possible outcome,” Kurwe said. I said Guardians via email obtained USA TODAY. “I think it's just showing what the Magazine actually represents. They don't want to make anything. They just want to tear people and agencies apart to make themselves better, regardless of the cost of the community. They genuinely doubt that Edison will find another former NFL player to coach Freshman football.”
