From Psychic to Devout Christian: Jen Niza’s Transformation

Jen Niza, once a renowned psychic and New Age guru, spent two decades immersed in various occult practices. This included tarot card readings, numerology, astrology, and rituals that she once believed connected her to the spirits of the deceased.

Today, Niza dedicates her life to warning both secular individuals and fellow believers about the spiritual risks associated with New Age activities, fortune-telling, and even cultural events like Halloween.

She cautions those involved in divination or necromancy that these practices can lead to interactions with demonic forces rather than genuine spiritual connections. Niza realized, during her journey, that what she believed were messages from the dead were actually deceptive entities posing as loved ones, and the spirits she encountered were not benevolent, but rather evil beings intent on causing her distress.

“By the time I turned 36, I faced a moment that was almost disastrous,” she shared in a conversation with a Blaze TV host. “I was near possession, and that experience was deeply unsettling.”

Years of engaging with dark magic left her with an overwhelming sense of dread and an internal “heaviness.” “It felt like someone was trying to drown me in water,” she reflected. “That’s when I began to truly understand my situation.”

In a moment of intense fear, Niza called out to Jesus—a name she hadn’t connected with before. Oddly enough, upon invoking Him, the oppressive atmosphere began to lift. “I felt a noticeable shift towards peace, and I realized I no longer wished to pursue psychic practices, though I couldn’t explain why,” she recounted.

This was God’s way of drawing her from darkness, but she faced resistance from other sources. “I fell prey to false teachings once again,” Niza admitted, acknowledging that she was led astray by her readings of heretical texts. Even after ceasing her readings for a time, she found herself returning, albeit with some modified beliefs.

Fortunately, Niza experienced God’s enduring patience. She mentioned, “I found myself on a dinner date with a friend from my fortune-telling days. Unbeknownst to me, she had found salvation since our last meeting.”

Her friend began sharing the message of Jesus and invited Niza to her church. However, at that point, Niza held tightly to her New Age beliefs and declined the invitation.

Yet, an internal struggle simmered beneath the surface, leading her to pause her psychic activities again. About a month after the dinner, she felt an inexplicable pull to visit her friend’s church.

“That was the day I finally heard the gospel,” she said, noting the emotional impact of singing along with the congregation. When she sang the lyrics, “Jesus saved me,” memories flooded back to her initial cry for help months prior.

“I knew it was Him,” she asserted, “the one who had come to set me free. I had been in captivity, and He liberated me.”
