They’re simply “friends.”

Former Anti-National Commission Chairman Rona McDaniel likened the tense relationship between President Trump and Elon Musk to the ups and downs of Ross and Rachel from “Friends.” It’s kind of funny to think about, right?

“I hope this is just like Ross and Rachel. A break, and then they’ll find their way back to each other. You know, we tend to panic when they seem apart… but we really want them to reunite,” she shared during her appearance on News Nation’s Cuomo show last Thursday.

The characters, played by David Schwimmer and Jennifer Aniston, were known for their dramatic back-and-forth throughout the beloved sitcom.

“I genuinely hope they can reconcile. I mean, Trump tends to forgive people who have said things against him. I’ve seen them work closely before,” McDaniel noted.

Elon was pivotal during this election cycle. Both he and Trump faced significant attacks on their businesses and took some serious personal hits to navigate the political landscape.

However, things took a sharp turn on Thursday when their feud reignited on social media after Trump criticized Musk’s comments about the administration’s plans for a “big beautiful building.” The conflict escalated quickly, with Trump even hinting at potentially terminating Musk’s government contracts and suggesting that Musk should face repercussions.

Musk also made headlines by referencing sensitive documents related to Jeffrey Epstein, which, of course, led to a stir.

“Time to drop a really big bomb: Trump is in Epstein’s file. That’s why they’re not public. Have a good day, DJT!” Musk tweeted.

In response, Trump claimed on Friday that he had no real intention of speaking with Musk, despite earlier reports suggesting a call was in the works. “Are you referring to a guy who lost his way?” Trump remarked, expressing skepticism when asked if the call would happen.

Interestingly, he added that it “isn’t exactly true” that he’s keen on engaging with his past allies, contrasting with Musk’s desire for a conversation.
