Allen Weisselberg, former chief financial officer of the Trump Organization, was sentenced to five months in prison after pleading guilty to two counts of perjury in connection with former President Donald Trump’s New York civil fraud trial.
Mr. Weisselberg stood for a brief sentencing hearing Wednesday in Manhattan Criminal Court and was ultimately sentenced to five months in prison at Rikers Island after pleading guilty to multiple counts of lying. The first time was during a deposition on May 12, 2023, and the second time was during a deposition on October 10, 2023.

Mr. Weisselberg, 76, pleaded guilty last month to two counts of perjury in connection with the case. He admitted he lied when he testified that he had little knowledge of how Trump’s Manhattan penthouse came to be valued on financial statements at nearly three times its actual size. Ta.
Weisselberg did not address the court Wednesday, saying “No, sir,” when asked if he wanted to address the court.

The Associated Press reports that this is not the first time the Trump Organization’s former CFO has served time in prison or Rikers Island, specifically for “evading taxes on $1.7 million in company perks, including a free apartment in Manhattan and luxury cars.” He added that he did not serve the 100 days he served last year.
