New Revelations About Peter Mandelson and Jeffrey Epstein
Peter Mandelson, the former British ambassador to the US, has been seen in a photograph where he’s dressed only in his underwear and a shirt, alongside a woman in a bathrobe. This image is part of new documents related to the notorious sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
These documents reveal that Epstein sent Mandelson $75,000 directly—this comes from a larger amount of $3 million that the Justice Department made public recently.
Mandelson, a well-known figure in the Labor Party, was dismissed from his position in September 2025 due to his association with Epstein. In the photo, he is wearing a dark T-shirt and briefs while engaging with the woman, whose face has been obscured.
He’s holding a tablet, and it seems the woman is looking at it. Another photo shows Mandelson entering a room with the device in hand.
His representatives commented, “No one can say who or where the photo was taken.” They also added that, “Lord Mandelson has no idea whether it has anything to do with Epstein.”
Reports indicate that Epstein transferred funds from his JPMorgan account to Mandelson’s accounts between May 2003 and June 2004. One notable transaction included a $25,000 payment directed to Mandelson’s husband, Reynaldo da Silva, with Mandelson listed as a beneficiary.
Additionally, there were two transfers of $25,000 that were deposited into Mandelson’s HSBC account.
While Mandelson hasn’t been accused of wrongdoing, his spokesperson mentioned to the Financial Times that there was “no record or recollection” of the payments being received.
He had a close relationship with Epstein—Mandelson described the convicted sex offender as his “best friend” and indicated that he “thought he meant the world.” In an email from 2008, he expressed his disbelief over Epstein’s fate, stating, “I still barely understand it. That can’t happen in England.”
In a mass email sent shortly after Epstein began serving an 18-month prison sentence for soliciting a minor, Mandelson encouraged Epstein to be resilient and philosophical about his situation. He remarked, “It’s all been years of torture, and now you have to show the world how big of a person you are and how strong you are.”
Epstein faced federal sex crime charges in 2019 but died in a Manhattan jail prior to his trial.
