Former Victoria's Secret owner now says Epstein tricked him after previously suggesting he was possessed by a demon

Leslie Wexner Interrogated Over Epstein Ties

Leslie Wexner, the former CEO of Victoria’s Secret and a co-founder of Bath & Body Works, faced questioning from Democratic members of the House Oversight Committee at her home in Ohio regarding her connection to Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted sex offender.

At 88 years old, Wexner issued a prepared statement claiming she had been subjected to “outrageous false statements, harmful rumors, innuendos, and speculation.” She expressed regret for being “too naive, stupid, and gullible to trust Jeffrey Epstein.”

While Wexner hasn’t faced any legal charges, she has been named in recently released documents related to Epstein. Previous investigations have referred to her as a potential co-conspirator in the Epstein trafficking case.

Background and Financial Connections

Wexner’s wealth is presently estimated in the billions. She mentioned that she met Epstein in the 1980s, facilitated by Bob Meister, former vice chairman of Aon. Through a network that included former associates of Epstein, Wexner developed a relationship with him, eventually hiring Epstein to manage her finances.

While overseeing Wexner’s financial matters, Epstein became significantly wealthy, acquiring assets like a mansion in New York, a private jet, and other luxury properties worth around $100 million. Wexner clarified that Epstein acquired the New York property at its appraised value.

In her statement, Wexner described Epstein as a “clever, nefarious, and master manipulator” who led a “double life,” using his connections to project an image of legitimacy that helped him expand his circle and credibility.

She claimed to have known only his “sophisticated financial guru” persona and was unaware of the more notorious aspects of his life.

Virginia Giuffre, a known victim of Epstein, has alleged that Wexner was involved in trafficking. However, Wexner firmly stated she was faithful to her wife of over three decades and severed ties with Epstein in 2008, which coincides with Epstein’s guilty plea for soliciting a minor.

Reactions from Lawmakers

After the deposition, Representative Robert Garcia, the committee’s top Democrat, remarked, “No one was more involved in providing Jeffrey Epstein with the wealth and financial support he needed to commit his crimes than Les Wexner.” He pointed out that without Wexner’s financial backing, Epstein’s operations would not have been possible.

“Despite the evidence, Mr. Wexner revealed that he had never been questioned by the FBI or the Justice Department. That’s outrageous,” added Garcia.

A spokesperson for Wexner informed Politico that she answered every committee question honestly and reiterated her claims of having no knowledge of Epstein’s illegal activities.

Reflections on Manipulation

In a previous interview, Wexner referred to an internal struggle, mentioning a “dybbuk” that prods at him. This term refers to a spirit with unresolved sins from its past. According to Jewish lore, these spirits sometimes inhabit living people.

Wexner described a formative moment climbing a mountain in her 40s, when she nearly froze to death and resolved to change her life. This spiritual journey, as outlined by a journalist, suggests the “demon” represents the relentless pursuit of wealth.

The profile concludes by illustrating Wexner’s complexities, hinting at an internal battle with ambition and morality.
