Simone Garcia-Johnson Critiques Trump Administration on Social Media

Simone Garcia-Johnson, a former WWE NXT wrestler who performed under the name Eva and is the daughter of wrestling icon Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, criticized the Trump administration and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in a social media post on Sunday.

Garcia-Johnson made her exit from WWE public on Friday. She had recently taken on the role of general manager for NXT, WWE’s developmental division, and was part of the Schism faction early in her tenure.

In her post, she expressed a strong sentiment using a middle finger emoji directed at ICE, noting, “And now I can proudly say this.” It was her first public critique of the White House since the previous administration left office.

Historically, WWE has maintained a close relationship with Donald Trump, both before and after his presidency. The former chairman, Vince McMahon, famously included Trump in the storyline at WrestleMania 23 back in 2007. Previous WrestleMania events IV and V took place in Atlantic City, supported by Trump Plaza.

WWE star Roman Reigns also voiced his support for Trump during his second term, mentioning in April 2025 that “the choice for the 2024 election was very clear,” commending Trump’s experience in entertainment and business.

Despite this, Roman Reigns has criticized Trump for seeking conflict with political rivals, suggesting that the president “needs that opponent.”

Paul “Triple H” Levesque, WWE’s chief content officer, has been linked to the administration as well, having been involved in efforts to bring back the Presidential Physical Fitness Test.
