Trevor Lee Joins Major League Wrestling
Wrestling star Trevor Lee has officially signed a contract with Major League Wrestling (MLW) and will continue his role as the Southern Crown Champion.
Previously known as Cameron Grimes in WWE, Lee has been making occasional appearances with MLW since his release. Notably, he faced Mistico during an event hosted by Eric Bischoff and participated in January’s Battle Riot VIII, along with several Fusion tapings.
Lee secured the MLW Southern Crown Championship in a Bunkhouse Stampede match against competitors including Andrew Everett, Beastman, and several others.
“I’m really excited to do anything at this point,” Lee shared. “For the past few years, I’ve been looking for a solid opportunity, and I feel like MLW is offering that. I’ve enjoyed working with CMLL and New Japan too.”
“It’s really cool to see how this is all shaping up,” he added.
He’s not alone—many former WWE wrestlers like Matt Riddle, Killer Kross, and Scarlett Bordeaux have also joined MLW in recent times.
Lee further expressed his interest in MLW’s quality of production, noting, “The product looks good. The crowd is engaged and energetic. That’s really the goal, especially when you step away from the WWE scene.” He explained that “MLW is not quite WWE, but it also isn’t just an indie promotion. It’s in a good spot.”
At 32, Lee aims to prove to the wrestling community that he can still compete at a high level.
He conveyed, “I want to demonstrate that I’m not solely a comedic performer. My aim with MLW is to engage in elite matches and see how far we can reach.” He mentioned looking forward to matches against talents like Aries, Riddle, and even competitors from CMLL and New Japan.
