Four Alabama Men Detained for Child Sexual Abuse, Human Trafficking, and Bestiality

Four men from Alabama are now in custody after being accused of sexually abusing children in underground bunkers for over a year. Their charges include rape, human trafficking, and other serious offenses.

Bibb County officials in Alabama have reported that these men utilized a bunker in Brent to carry out their alleged abuses. This week’s arrests followed a lengthy investigation that started back in February, as detailed by local news.

The individuals arrested include William Chase McElroy, Andres Trejo Belazquez, Dalton Terrell, and Timothy St. John. According to Brian Jones, an Assistant District Attorney, six children were allegedly taken to a storm shelter in Brent.

Jones expressed his horror to news outlets, stating, “I can’t imagine anyone could do this to a child. Children are vulnerable and rely on adults to care for and protect them. And when adults do these kinds of things, it’s really scary.”

Claims against the men are as follows:

William Chase McElroy

  • Four counts of first-degree rape
  • Six counts of trafficking
  • Six counts of first-degree sodomy
  • Four counts of first-degree invitation

Dalton Terrell

  • One count of first-degree rape
  • Twelve counts of first-degree sodomy
  • Five counts of first-degree trafficking

Andres Trejo Belazquez

  • Six counts of trafficking

Timothy St. John

  • Two counts of first-degree rape
  • Four counts of first-degree sodomy
  • Four counts of trafficking
  • Three counts of first-degree invitation
  • One count of bestiality
  • One count of aggravated cruelty to animals

It was reported that the incidents took place between January 2024 and early 2025, with Trejo accused of distributing explicit images and promoting connections with victims.

Police are still looking for other potential victims and offenders as the investigation continues. The children who were recovered are now under the care of the Alabama Department of Family Resources.

The Central Alabama Regional Children’s Advocacy Center expressed their deep sorrow regarding the situation, stating that such behavior would not be tolerated in Bibb County. Sheriff Jody Wade emphasized that those responsible would face severe legal consequences.

Prison officials have indicated that Trejo-Belazquez is believed to be a U.S. citizen, and no immigrant detainees were involved among the suspects.
