Fox News Digital Achieves Record Audience Numbers
Fox News Digital has reported an impressive milestone in digital viewership, recording an average of 138 million unique visitors across multiple platforms in the second quarter of 2025, according to ComScore data.
In terms of multi-platform engagement, Fox News outpaced other major news outlets, including CBS News, NBC News, ABC News, CNN, The Washington Post, and The New York Times. CNN trailed at a distant second with 4 billion multi-platform minutes, reflecting a drop of 27% compared to the previous year. The New York Times followed in third place, reporting 3.8 billion multi-platform minutes, down 22% from last year.
Fox News Dominates Independence Day Week Viewing
Fox News Digital also led the way in multi-platform views, accumulating 5.8 billion, which is a 19% increase from the same period last year. The New York Times experienced a slight decline to 4.4 billion views, while CNN saw a decrease of 18%, totaling 2.8 billion views.
The quarter ended on a strong note for Fox News Digital. Not only did it lead all news brands in multi-platform views and minutes for June, but it also demonstrated overall year-over-year growth.
Remarkably, the platform garnered 1.2 billion views in the second quarter alone, marking a staggering 122% increase year-on-year, thus surpassing all other news brands.
On YouTube, Fox News achieved over 1 billion views, easily outpacing MSNBC, which had 659 million. CNN managed 368 million views, while ABC and CBS recorded 345 million and 164 million views, respectively.
Historic Ratings for Fox News
Fox News continues to solidify its position as the leading news provider on YouTube during this period, leaving competitors far behind. In fact, Fox Business emerged as the top business news brand on YouTube with 180 million views in the quarter.
The report highlighted trends among major news brands, shedding light on the digital landscape and how they attract unique visitors. Interestingly, brands like CNN and The New York Times did not fully opt into these metrics.
