New York v. Trump lawyers adjourned the case Tuesday morning without calling former President Trump to the stand.

Prosecutors adjourned their case on Monday, and Trump’s lawyers called two witnesses before adjourning their case: paralegal Daniel Sitko and Michael Cohen’s former legal adviser Robert Costello.

There is no chance of a gap of several days between closing arguments and jury deliberations, the judge said. Juan Melchan The jury was dismissed until after Memorial Day.

Former President Trump asked Chief Judge Juan Melchán to dismiss the case, saying his defense team had already “won on every standard” in New York v. Trump. And when he appeared in court Tuesday night, Trump pushed the limits of a gag order that already carries a $10,000 fine.

“Look at that guy. Why not look at a guy who argued their case for almost the entire lawsuit? Look at that guy. Where did he come from? Unbelievable. He came from Biden,” he added.

President Trump did not name the person he was talking about. But the lead prosecutor in the case, Matthew Colangelo, is a former Justice Department official who joined the prosecutor’s office months before the former president’s indictment.
