Fred Toucher danced on the grave of his longtime former radio partner Rich Schertenlieb.
“Toucher and Rich” disbanded last November after spending 17 years together at Boston's 98.5 Sports Hub, much of it as ratings juggernauts.
Schertenlieb was fired from iHeart's WZLX on Monday, less than six months after the new show launched.
Toucher spent much of Tuesday's program reveling in the lack of success of Schertenlieb's new program.
“When I couldn't say anything today, I'll say it. When I read the statement he gave, it seemed like he learned humility,” Torcher said.
“Don't stab your friends with conspiracies. Don't be a snake…but there's no transparency and it's still the same garbage.”
Torcher said he had spoken to several people who previously worked on the show and were pleased with the news.
“If I felt Rich had learned his lesson, I wouldn't be so hard on him. Sometimes you need to be humiliated to gain humility,” Torcher said.
“I thought Rich would ultimately show honesty, transparency, and humility, but then I read his statement and it seemed like this guy hadn't learned anything.”

Schertenlieb's new show featured former Patriots Ted Johnson and Boston radio veteran Michael Hurley.
“To say I'm disappointed is an understatement,” Schertenlieb said. wrote a long statement about X After his dismissal.
“When we launched the show at the end of May, the plan was simple: We spent the summer months building chemistry with our new cast, and by fall and football season we had a clear idea of what our vision for the show would be. I was getting closer to deciding what to do.
“However, just over two months into the show, the management decided to change the format. They wanted music and I didn't. But I couldn't agree with this decision. Even though it wasn't, I agreed to move forward and the music was added.”
iHeart cut hundreds of jobs across the United States on Monday and Tuesday.
Speaking on Beasley Broadcasting Station's Sports Hub, Torcher hinted that Schertenlieb tried and failed in a “power play” to get him kicked off the network last year, and that he walked away after the execution failed.
Toucher also accused Schertenlieb of being dishonest in her resignation statement after being fired from iHeart and mocked the ratings of her former partner's new show.
“He was getting one share. Not only was he not bringing new viewers to that show, he was alienating the viewers who left based on their overall ratings. He was getting one share. It received about a third of the ratings. [before]”Tatcher said.
“Management was concerned, and yes, that’s the problem. management. None of it was his fault. ”
