A man from Fresno County has been sentenced to 46 years in prison after sexually assaulting five women, which, shockingly, included his own daughter, along with two minors.
Cesar Flores, aged 57, will face lifelong registration as a sex offender in the United States.
The ruling was delivered on Monday by Fresno County Superior Court Judge James Kelly. Flores had been apprehended a year prior. This case follows a cold case investigation that highlighted five assaults between 2016 and 2021.
Flores was caught after detectives utilized DNA from a distant relative in another state, pointing them toward him as a likely suspect. According to the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office, he did not know his victims beforehand and targeted them in public spaces.
It’s particularly disturbing to note that two of the victims were minor daughters of his. According to a report from the Fresno Bee, Flores faced a total of 22 felony charges at the time of his arrest, but he eventually pled guilty to just four of those charges last month. ABC News notes that these included charges of rape by force and indecency with a child.
Authorities reported that four of his assaults occurred in the central and western areas of the city, while the fifth took place on the outskirts of the county. Allegedly, Flores would stalk his targets, and terrifyingly, in one instance, a victim escaped by jumping from his moving car and landing in an irrigation canal.
When he was arrested in 2025, Flores was initially given a bail of $1.7 million and faced a staggering 264 years in prison.
