David Schwimmer had an awkward encounter with a legendary celebrity while working as a teenager.
During a recent appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, the 58-year-old actor revealed that he “did a lot of bananas work” in his younger days, one of which was with musician Rod Stewart. It is said that this led to an encounter.
“One summer after my freshman year of college, I was just looking for a job and my mom said, 'Well, you can be my process server,'” he recalls. “My mom was a divorce lawyer, and I was the kind of person who would jump out of the bushes and file divorce papers.”
The actor recalled feeling like James Bond, receiving information about where the person was and going to look for them.

“Once, oh, I worked for Rod Stewart, although thankfully I've never seen him since,” the “Friends” star said with a laugh. “I don't even know if he knows. I don't think he knows.”
“He already knows,” Colbert joked, adding that if they ever ran into each other in the future, “I know he's going to punch me.”
It is unclear who he divorced from, but Stewart was married to Alana Stewart from 1979 to 1984, and then to Rachel Hunter from 1990 to 2006. He is currently married to Penny Lancaster, whom he married in 2007.
