Frustrated by the poor state of the local road, the British villagers decided to take humorous behavior. He staged comical scenes in a large pothole, placing fake feet in accumulated water to highlight its size and road devastation.
The large pothole on Haverhill Road, Castle Camp in Cambridgeshire Village near the Suffolk border, is just one of several that formed in the area. BBC It has been reported.
James Coxal, a 41-year-old carpenter, told the media that the pothole had been there for eight months. The roads aren't that busy, but he explained that if there are vehicles approaching, the driver must either stop or hit the pothole.
In response, Cambridgeshire County Council said one of the highway officers will inspect and repair the roads as needed.
Frustrated with the long-standing issues, Koksal and his family decided to take a light-hearted approach. On Sunday, they turned some old clothes and rags into legs, wearing jeans and colorful shoes.
“The shoes go for charity anyway, so we thought we would give them the first thing to do,” joked Koksal.
They stuffed jeans with rags, reinforced with wood for stability, upside down the figure into a pothole and secured it with bricks.
Coxall shared photos created on the local Haverhill community page with the odd ones of Facebook groups around Cambridge.
“It was a bit of fun and I had a lot of messages about it,” he said. “It seems like people around here enjoy it, but then once again, I'm known as a bit of a joker.”
Meanwhile, the county council has encouraged residents to use online tools to report potholes.
