The Salvador defendant hitman was arrested in Seattle this week in hiding as part of an ongoing raid of the Trump administration Pollution against dangerous illegal immigrantssaid the federal government.
Jose Marine Lozano, who is sought in his home country in the middle of murder charges on Tuesday, was arrested Tuesday, according to Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials.
The 47-year-old Bust came after an El Salvadoran police officer issued a warrant in September 2020 where he was arrested on aggravated murder charge, the Fed said.
Police then issued a second warrant in June 2021 for worsening murder, proposals and conspiracy in an aggravated murder crime, ICE added.
He was hunted in El Salvador during the 2018 man's invitation and murder while he was working as a police officer and a local outlet. Reported by Le Prensa Grafica.
Marine Rozano, who is said to be a member of the Hitman law enforcement gang, was acquitted of the charges before the court later overturned the verdict and ordered a retrial.
Other suspects in the gang were eventually found guilty and sentenced to prison.
Meanwhile, Marine Rozano was declared a fugitive after fleeing to the US, according to a local outlet.
Ice said it was unclear whether Marine Rozano first entered the United States, where, where, and where he entered the country, but pointed out that he came illegally.
It was not immediately clear how long he had been in Seattle.
“When Ice learns of such cases in our community, Ice continues to act quickly,” said Seattlefield office director Drew H. Bostock.
“This arrest highlights the important work our officers do every day.”
Authorities have not given details about the circumstances surrounding his arrest.
He is set to remain under ice custody as removal procedures are pending.
