Florida Fugitive Sought in Father’s Murder
Authorities are getting closer to locating a disguised Florida fugitive wanted in connection with the brutal murder of her father, whose body was discovered bound with zip ties in a shallow grave. On Thursday, the alleged murderer, 38-year-old Isabelle Rose Johnson, revealed several tattoos that may help in her identification.
The Walton County Sheriff’s Office stated that Johnson has a tattoo on her right ankle, though it remains unidentified, and a large scorpion tattoo that stretches from the left side of her buttocks to her thigh. They also mentioned another tattoo of a rose or flower running from the bottom of her thumb to her index finger on her left hand.
“Today, we are releasing additional identifying features belonging to Isabel, Jessica, Harley, or whatever name she is currently using,” the agency noted.
Johnson is accused of killing Jason Coultart, 43, whose body was discovered on June 25 in a Freeport property. Reports indicate he was buried in a shallow grave, covered with concrete, while a black Cadillac was parked on top.
Coultart had been reported missing on May 24. Johnson has reportedly been using various aliases, such as Hurley and Jessica Elaine Bowman, among others. The sheriff’s office described her as a known con artist and cautioned that she should be considered dangerous, with ties to Okaloosa and Walton counties in Florida, as well as locations in Georgia and southern Alabama.
“Johnson is known to be mobile and often exploits people’s sympathy to evade law enforcement,” the sheriff’s office added. It’s believed she may recount personal hardships, including domestic violence, to gain assistance from others.
Coultart was originally from New Jersey and had a 20-year-old son. It remains unclear if he had any connection to Johnson.
Authorities have arrested five other individuals suspected of involvement in the murder, but their relationship with Johnson is not clear.
According to reports, Johnson weighs about 120 pounds and stands 5 feet 3 inches tall. She has brown hair and hazel eyes, though investigators suspect she may have altered her appearance to avoid capture.
