Former Congressman Matt Gaetz has returned to “reacher” star Alan Richson, whom they claimed to be “enemies” when he attended the same Florida high school.
“Hollywood is clearly changing people!” Gaetz said on X Thursday afternoon.
The former House member revealed that he and Richson are members of the same speech and debate team at Niceville High School.
Gaetz graduated from school in the Florida Panhandle in 2000 and is a year before Richson.
The former Florida representative turned the comments of the talk show host. It came after Richson was asked about Gaetz in a recent interview with GQ.
“That mother hooker. We're the enemy,” Richson I told the outlet.
In an interview, Richson expressed his dissatisfaction with the Floridians and continued to vote for Getz.
“It's shocking to me that the Florida Panhandle continues to vote for someone. I know everything I know about him and the promise he made behind closed doors about forgiveness of certain criminals. He's not just a good guy!'' the actor told GQ.
While the “Blue Mountain State” star focused on his acting, Getz couldn't remember his hostility with Richson.
“I won the debate championship, so we were not 'enemies'. Alan did more acting,” Goetz said. “As I remember, his brother Eric won more frequently than Alan.
“He was always very kind to me (and everyone else). His mother, the computer lab monitor, loved me.”
Getz claimed that Richson's mother Vick Ke invited him to a retirement party for Richson's father Dave, where he boasted about singing the J. Giels band's hit “Centrefold.” “
“At her invitation, I went from the Air Force to his father's retirement party, held at a karaoke bar called “Rubos” in Niceville, where Dad sang “Sitting at the Bay Dock.”
The couple was first stationed in North Dakota, where Alan Richson was born before being moved to Illinois.

Getz retracted his name from consideration after meeting with Senate Republicans on November 21st.
