Chalamet’s financial clout is on display.

This Game 3 matchup between the Knicks and the Spurs is set to break records, becoming the priciest game in NBA Finals history—and indeed, in all of sports history.

If you’re looking for the least expensive ticket, it’s listed at a staggering $9,006, for seats in the upper level, according to SeatGeek.

Courtside options aren’t available through standard sales, but interested buyers can bid on them. Currently, the highest bid sits at $500,000.

The pricing for this game is unique. To put it in perspective, tickets for the 2024 Finals in Dallas went for an average of $1,965, making them the second-highest. Right now, MSG’s average ticket price is $7,149—and that figure appears to keep climbing.

Interestingly, Knicks tickets have only been outdone in expense by Super Bowl LII back in 2024, where the average cost was $10,497.

Games 1, 2, and 6 at Madison Square Garden also rank among the eight priciest ticket averages in history.

Fans are clearly passionate about seeing the Knicks clinch their first championship in over five decades, and it shows throughout the playoffs.

Given that the Knicks haven’t reached the NBA Finals in 27 years, it’s notable that, according to magazine reports, this means roughly a quarter of New York City’s residents weren’t born yet. The team hasn’t claimed a title since 1973.

As reported by Front Office Sports, ticket prices skyrocketed from an initial $3,900 on Monday to over $10,000 after the Knicks won Game 1.

It seems New Yorkers are eager to be part of the championship energy.

And then there’s the influence factor—a big contributor to such prices, as noted by the Wall Street Journal.

This frenzy has led to various sectors, including Wall Street and real estate, scrambling to pay upwards of $10,000.

“If you’re not there, you’re a loser,” said Jaclyn Siena India, founder of concierge service Sienna Charles, in an interview.

One group has reportedly spent $176,000 for a single ticket to the game.

High-profile attendees for Game 3 will include President Donald Trump and NYC Mayor Zoran Mamdani.

Other familiar faces expected courtside range from Timothée Chalamet to Kylie Jenner, Spike Lee, Ben Stiller, and Tracy Morgan.

While prices may have surged, the game atmosphere remains unchanged from the regular season.

Here are some takes on that $10,000 ticket:

Others, however, aren’t as fortunate with their seat selections. Many back-row spots in the 200s come with obstructed views.

The Chase Bridge blocks visibility of the central court scoreboard, making it tricky for those seated there.

If the series extends beyond four games, Knicks fans might find it cheaper to fly to San Antonio for Game 5, where tickets at the Frostbank Center start at $1,711, and round-trip flights are under $600.
