Gas leak sparks massive blaze at South Korean LPG station

Shocking video footage shows the moment a gas leak occurred at a gas station in South Korea, causing a massive explosion that set the building ablaze and injured five people.

At around 8:41 pm on January 1st, a gas leak occurred at a liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) station in South Korea's Gangwon Province, particularly in the Pyeongchang area, causing a fire. According to Eras News.

Video of the horrifying incident shows onlookers screaming in panic as thick flames quickly spread to nearby buildings and vehicles.

The 40-second video depicts the fire's rapid onset from different angles, showing how widespread the massive blaze was.

Officials announced that firefighters from the Gangwon Fire Department were able to extinguish the large blaze after about three hours.

The fire and initial explosion damaged 14 buildings and forced the evacuation of at least 25 people from the area.

According to the Gangwon Fire Department, five people were injured in the horrific fire.
