Gavin Newsom Omits Arnold Schwarzenegger From California Hall Of Fame List

On Monday, California Governor Gavin Newsom did not include Arnold Schwarzenegger’s name in the list for the California Hall of Fame. This omission caught the attention of attendees at the California Museum, where they were gathered to hear about the upcoming inductees, as reported by Politico.

Newsom’s spokesman, Bob Saladay, refuted claims that Schwarzenegger was purposely left out due to opposition to Newsom’s initiatives. He mentioned that the announcement of the new inductees was simply delayed. “No one’s been snubbed,” Saladay stated, adding that the finalized list will be released in a few months, likely in November.

Meanwhile, many alumni connected to Schwarzenegger are aware of the event, as he was told about his expected induction. A spokesperson for Schwarzenegger expressed confusion over the lack of an official announcement. He emphasized that political affiliation had never influenced Hall of Fame selections, noting that Schwarzenegger founded the Hall of Fame during his time in office. “It’s not a Republican Hall of Fame or a Democrat Hall of Fame; it’s a California Hall of Fame,” he said.

He also mentioned that Schwarzenegger isn’t particularly concerned about the omission, as he has received numerous accolades throughout his career, and this one doesn’t need to align with political views.
