Concerns Over School Policies on Gender Identity

Vernadette Broyles, who leads the Children and Parent Rights Campaign, is vocal about opposing school policies that support transgender children without parental consent. In a recent conversation with BlazeTV host Ally Beth Stucky, she shared a troubling case.

Broyles noted that many parents are collaborating and, in some instances, pursuing legal action regarding children who are undergoing secret transitions. One case involves a 12-year-old girl from a Catholic family in Paris. According to Broyles, this girl had no prior signs of gender discomfort or mental health issues—she was simply a regular kid.

However, after experiencing some bullying at school, the girl began to believe that, because “boys are strong,” she wanted to identify as male. This thought process set off a troubling series of events, as the school counselors became involved.

At the counselor’s suggestion, the girl started living a double life. Tragically, the pressure of maintaining this dual identity became overwhelming, leading her to contemplate suicide during school hours. In a heartbreaking turn, her parents were summoned to the principal’s office and discovered that their daughter had attempted to take her life.

Broyles explained that the family learned their daughter was being transferred to the hospital under police escort, completely unaware of the situation at school.

Fortunately, the girl has since rejected the identity that was imposed upon her, but her story is not an isolated incident. Broyles highlighted how many children fail to receive adequate support from the educational system.

She referenced more tragic cases, such as another girl who had traumatic experiences as a child. When she entered puberty, she reported sexual harassment at school, but didn’t disclose this to her parents. Feeling unsafe, she ran away and unfortunately fell into the hands of traffickers, eventually encountering a pedophile who exploited her across state lines.

In an alarming development, upon being discovered in Maryland, a judge hesitated to return her to her parents due to concerns that they wouldn’t affirm her male identity. This child had already endured so much trauma, including being alone when she underwent a rape kit examination.

While in a facility, she was again assaulted and managed to escape, only to be trafficked once more. Ultimately, she was found in Texas, where authorities decided it was best to return her to her parents.

Broyles emphasized that this distressing pattern often begins in schools, where school officials endorse misleading narratives for vulnerable children.
