Actor George Clooney claimed in an interview that aired Monday that he could not care much about President Donald Trump’s thoughts about him.
“I don’t care,” Clooney told Gayle King on “CBS Mornings,” playing Edward R. Murrow on CBS News, and talking about his Broadway debut on “Goodnight and Good Luck.”
“I’ve known Donald Trump for a long time. My job is not to please the US president,” Clooney added.
Trump tackled a society of truth After appearing in “60 Minutes,” CBS News Magazine Trump sued over a 2024 interview with Kamala Harris to throw shade at Clooney last month.
“Why is the now highly unreliable 60 minutes doing a total of ‘puff’ with George Clooney, the second film “Star” and failed political commentator,” Trump said in The Truth Society. “He fought hard for sleepy Joe’s election, then dumped him like a dog right after the argument. I think later, under orders from the Obama camp, I pushed everything out for “Kamara.”
But Clooney said it’s not his job to care about what his Trump opinion is.
“My job is to try and tell the truth when possible and when there is an opportunity,” Clooney told CBS. “I know the idea that people wouldn’t like it… people would criticize it. [about me]. That’s their right. It is my right to say the other side. ”
Trump also called out Clooney in another post on July 10, 2024 on True Social, calling him a “fake film actor.”
“George Clooney, who wasn’t close to making a great movie, is in this act,” Trump said. “He turned on Joe, both of them bent like rats. Does Clooney know what? He uses the Democrat “topic” that Biden, the worst president in American history, “saves our democracy.” No, the bent Joe was the man who weaponized law enforcement against his political opponents, creating the most devastating inflation in our country’s history.

On the same day, Clooney has released it A guest essay for the New York Times calls for Biden to stand aside to give way to another Democratic candidate for the president.
“The crooked Joe Biden didn’t save our democracy, he put our democracy on his knees,” Trump added in the July Truth Social Post. “Clooney should get out of politics and go back to television. The film never worked for him!!!”
Fox News Digital requested comment from both Clooney and White House but did not immediately receive a response.
