Netanyahu’s Remarks on Soros and Hamas
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu shared his views with conservative radio host Mark Levin, claiming that George Soros has formed an alliance with Hamas and Iran, as well as influencing the media narrative surrounding Israel.
During the discussion, Levin raised concerns about the growing anti-Semitism following the October 7 terrorist attacks by Hamas, which resulted in the deaths of approximately 1,200 Israelis and the hostage-taking of over 250 individuals in Gaza.
Netanyahu stated:
This is a campaign filled with slander and falsehoods perpetuated by Hamas, but it receives support from various NGOs—those same groups that protest against Antifa and other anti-American activities, funded by Qatar, Iran, and perhaps other global entities, including, certainly, NGOs linked to Soros and the Open Society Foundations, among others. These organizations are facilitating chaos in Israel. They are not only united publicly; they also need to combat the horrific Iranian axis, which includes Hamas and is driven by Iran.
The Open Society Foundations, established by billionaire philanthropist George Soros and overseen by his son Alex, finance organizations that often pursue controversial objectives. Interestingly, Soros—who is himself a Jewish Holocaust survivor—has been known to support groups like J. Street, which opposes certain Israeli government actions and often works to undermine Israel’s standing in the media and legislative bodies.
Addressing the current situation in Gaza, Netanyahu mentioned that there is no starvation, but rather a state of “deprivation” created by Hamas’s misappropriation of aid meant for the people, including resources provided by the United Nations.
Netanyahu also discussed Israel’s efforts to facilitate humanitarian assistance, describing operations that aim to provide aid directly to individual Palestinians through a secure distribution network established by the Humanitarian Foundation of Gaza.
Furthermore, he drew parallels between the protests against Israel and those against the United States, noting that demonstrators often burn both the Israeli and American flags. “They don’t just burn the Israeli flag; they also burn the American flag,” he remarked.
