Georgia House Bill 1364 would hold property owners liable if a lawfully concealed carrier is harmed while self-defense arms are prohibited on the property. .
HB 1364 states, “A person prohibited from lawfully carrying a weapon and injured shall have a cause of action against the person, corporation, or other entity that owns or lawfully controls the property. ” is written. according to Go to 11 Alive.
The bill is sponsored by state Rep. Martin Momtahan (Republican).
Mr. Momtahan explained his motivation for introducing this bill.

Text of HB 1364 To clarify Signs prohibiting legal gun owners from being armed for self-defense must be accompanied by a sign that makes it clear that the landowner understands their control obligations.
A public notice posted on the premises containing language prohibiting weapons on the premises shall cite the provisions of this Code and prohibit lawful weapon holders from carrying weapons, including concealed weapons. It shall also include language specifying that Such property shall be under the absolute control of the person, corporation, or other entity that owns or legally controls such property.
