Georgia Chick-fil-A delivery driver fights off masked, gun-wielding robber in dramatic video

Footage has emerged of a dramatic brawl in which a Chick-fil-A employee in Georgia fought for his life against a gun-wielding robber who broke into the store and threatened to kill him.

At approximately 4:30 a.m. on July 1, the delivery driver was alone inside the Stone Mountain fast-food restaurant when suspect Tommy Lee Williams, 51, used a rock to smash the drive-thru window. According to the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office.

Police said a masked Williams forced his way into the kitchen and pointed a gun at the victim, threatening to kill him if he did not open the safe, but the clerk did not know the combination to the safe.

Security camera footage from inside the restaurant released by the sheriff’s office shows a gun-wielding Williams and an unidentified employee fighting over the gun in a back room, hitting each other over the head.

After a minutes-long struggle, store employees were able to remove the black mask from Williams’ face, but Williams fled through a back door of the store. By the time police arrived, Williams was gone.

Police searched the scene and located and identified the vehicle they believe Williams drove to the restaurant.
