Georgia Football Players Arrested for Shoplifting

The Georgia football program faces more challenges as two of its freshmen players were arrested for shoplifting just weeks before the Bulldogs head to the College Football Playoff.

Bo Walker, a notable running back who recently scored three touchdowns in a game against Charlotte, along with offensive lineman Dontrell Glover, were taken into custody in Athens, Georgia, on Friday. Records indicate they are both charged with misdemeanor shoplifting.

They were arrested Friday afternoon and released a few hours later after each posting $26 bail.

A public relations representative from the university mentioned that they are aware of the situation and are currently gathering more details. They added, “This is a pending legal matter and we will not be commenting further at this time.”

During the regular season of 2025, Walker accumulated a total of 100 rushing yards on 22 carries and found the end zone three times across six games. Glover, hailing from Georgia, participated in 13 games and earned a spot on the All-SEC Freshman Team.

Related Incidents

Interestingly, this incident follows closely on the heels of another arrest involving a Georgia offensive lineman, Nyar Daniels, who was dismissed from the team after being involved in a high-speed police chase. He faces several serious charges, including multiple felonies linked to child endangerment since his younger siblings were in the car during the pursuit.

Reports suggest speeding during the chase reached as high as 160 mph in a 25 mph zone and continued at 150 mph on a nearby interstate.

The implications for Walker and Glover regarding their playoff status remain unclear at this point. The Bulldogs are set to face the winner of the upcoming matchup between Ole Miss and Tulane in the Sugar Bowl on January 1.
