Georgia police nab illegal immigrant accused of preying on four children

Illegal immigrants in Georgia are at the back of the bar after they allegedly abused four children under the age of 14.

Nery Antonio Gonzalez, 36, was arrested by Valdosta police on March 14 after he learned that detectives had sexually assaulted four minors in various parts of the city.

Valdosta police said Gonzalez was illegally located in the United States and originally originally from Guatemala.

Initially, detectives were investigating Gonzalez for sexually assaulting two minors, but interviews allowed them to find two casualties.

Gonzalez was charged with 1st degree felony cruelty, 5 counts of felony child abuse, 3 counts of felony rape, 4 counts of felony sexual assault, 4 counts of sexual assault on children under the age of 16, 2 counts of felony child abuse, and 3 counts of felony felony felony cruelty.

Police said further charges are pending as Gonzalez's investigation remains active.

Valdosta Police Chief Leslie Manahan said in a statement That four children will be hurt for the rest of their lives.
