Georgia Representative Mike Collins: Jon Ossoff Is an ‘Ambitious’ Elitist

Georgia Senator Jon Ossoff Advocates for a Global Agreement on AI

Collins Critiques Ossoff’s Ambitions in Georgia Senate Race

During a recent appearance on Breitbart News Saturday, Rep. Mike Collins (R-GA) characterized Sen. Jon Ossoff (D-GA) as an “elitist” leveraging Georgia to advance his presidential ambitions for 2028.

Collins remarked, “For six years, no one has questioned Ossoff about his controversial votes or the rationale behind them. We’re bringing these issues to light now. The truth is, he’s running for president and using Georgia merely as a fundraising tool. He seems indifferent to our concerns or values.”

Collins continued to emphasize Ossoff’s leftist stance, noting that only 20% of his campaign contributions originate from Georgia. “The people of Georgia don’t support his agenda. Instead, he’s resorting to far-left donors from California and New York for campaign funds,” he said. “Ossoff aims to position himself as the Democratic Socialists of America candidate for the presidency in 2028, following the lead set by Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), with whom he votes 90% of the time.”

As the Georgia Senate race heats up, it’s expected to be highly competitive, possibly influencing which party gains the majority during the latter part of President Donald Trump’s term. Ossoff, who was elected in 2021, has been labeled the “most vulnerable” Democrat up for reelection, despite whispers of his presidential aspirations.

Collins, a businessman who owns a trucking company, contrasted himself with Ossoff, whom he referred to as a “trust fund kid.” He has been actively campaigning statewide, visiting all 159 counties in Georgia.

When asked about Ossoff’s recent proposal for a global AI governance framework, Collins responded critically, saying, “We are in a race against China regarding AI, yet Ossoff seems to prefer an internationalist approach. These global elites want control over every aspect of our lives, from healthcare decisions to transportation choices.” He added, “If we don’t stop Jon Ossoff now in Georgia, he’s going to be a significant problem for this country.”

Collins expressed a stark contrast between himself and Ossoff, stating, “You won’t find two more polarized candidates than us. I’ve grown my trucking business from scratch, while Ossoff has never faced the realities of everyday Americans. He won’t ever understand what it’s like for families to rely on him for job stability.”

He concluded, “This is all about elite control. They want people to surrender and accept their fate—just step back and let them dictate our lives. That’s not an option for me. I ran for Congress because I want more opportunities for my kids. We have to reclaim those opportunities that have been squandered through years of Democratic rule that have restricted what we can achieve.”
