The settlement cancels Wednesday’s hearing in which Wade was scheduled to be questioned about his alleged “inappropriate” relationship with his boss, District Attorney Fani Willis, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported. It is said that it was done.

Cobb County Superior Court Judge Henry Thompson signed an order Tuesday approving the preliminary settlement. He noted that both Nathan Wade and Joycelyn Wade had agreed not to submit the terms of the agreement to court.

“All of the issues that we promised about temporary support and legal fees are resolved by this agreement,” said Andrea Hastings, one of Joycelyn Wade’s attorneys, according to the newspaper. “This case is not finally resolved. There is still much work to be done to resolve this case either through a final settlement or trial.”

The couple have been married for 26 years but are embroiled in a contentious divorce. Last week, filings in Wade’s divorce case were made public, revealing that his wife’s lawyers were trying to remove Willis from answering questions about her alleged affair.

Wade is accused of having an inappropriate relationship with Willis and paying for lavish trips for the pair.

The affair allegations came to light this month when Trump’s co-defendant, attorney Michael Roman, accused Willis and Wade of having an affair. inappropriate relationship A separate complaint regarding the improper handling of public funds has been filed in another court.

Wade has been paid about $654,000 in legal fees since January 2022, according to county records.

Joycelyn Wade’s attorney argued that Willis’ deposition was needed to determine whether her husband spent the money on Willis.

Mr. Willis maintains that any allegations of extramarital affairs are unrelated to Mr. Trump’s case.
