Ghislaine Maxwell was spotted returning to a Florida prison carrying a mysterious box after a meeting with senior Justice Department officials on Thursday.
Drone footage revealed that the 63-year-old inmate was driven to the FCI Tallahassee Complex in a white sedan, where she is serving a 20-year sentence for her involvement with Jeffrey Epstein and a minor.
The former British socialite, dressed in brown, was visibly handcuffed and surrounded by barbed wire as she arrived at the facility.
One officer was seen carrying a bottle as she was escorted inside the prison.
Maxwell stood outside the brick building with two security guards for almost two minutes before they went in.
After the meeting, she was seen walking into the prison with the box.
She spent several hours outside the prison walls earlier, meeting with her attorney and Associate Attorney General Todd Blanche at the U.S. Law Office in Tallahassee.
Blanche posted on X, stating, “Today I met Ghislaine Maxwell. I will continue the interview tomorrow. The Department of Justice will share additional information about what I learned at the right time.”
Maxwell allegedly answered the DOJ’s questions “honestly.”
No specific topics have been made public, but her lawyer, Oscar Marx, suggested that they discussed the classified Epstein files.
Marx expressed gratitude that the government is pursuing the truth, noting that this was their first communication with her and they have faith in the process.
Maxwell remains in Florida after her sentencing related to Epstein’s crimes of grooming a young girl.
Blanche mentioned he arranged a meeting to determine if she would provide more information about Epstein and his associates.
The DOJ doesn’t view Maxwell as someone trustworthy who would exchange information for leniency or pardons.
A former federal prosecutor remarked that the meeting was unusual. “If Todd Blanche, now heading the DOJ and previously associated with Trump’s personal lawyer, meets Ghislaine Maxwell in prison, that points to something very atypical,” noted Duncan Levin.
