Giants bringing in Division III QB among rookie camp free agents

Without a quarterback, you can’t throw the ball or pass the ball in practice.

So, with rookie camp just around the corner, the Giants knew they had to bring in someone to fill that role.

“We need to bring in a quarterback to run 7-on-7 and what we want to do,” coach Brian Daboll said. “We bring someone in, whether it’s a tryout or whatever, and we go from there.”

One of the quarterbacks the Giants will bring in for tryouts appears to be Liam Thompson, a Division III Wabash star and aptly named Little Giant.

Thompson holds the North Coast Athletic Conference record for all-time offensive yards and will be on display when the Giants open rookie camp on May 10th.

Depending on whether the Giants bring in another quarterback, Thompson could become the first player to throw a pass to first-round pick Malik Nabors in an NFL setting.
