Giants fan ejected for throwing foul ball at umpire Laz Diaz

San Francisco Giants fans went wild during a game against the Colorado Rockies.

With the Giants leading 1-0 in the top of the sixth inning in a Saturday afternoon game, Rockies center fielder Brendan Rodgers threw a 1-1 fastball to pitcher Blake Snell, who hit the foul ball back into the stands.

The foul ball was retrieved by a fan, who then held it up for all to see.

However, the fan then threw the ball back onto the field, nearly hitting second base umpire Laz Diaz.

Diaz protested the fan’s throwing and had the fan ejected from the match.

In this game, Blake Snell struck out a career-high 15 batters in just six innings.

Snell is now a Yankees target ahead of Tuesday’s trade deadline.

Snell owns a 5.10 ERA this season but has allowed just two runs combined in his past four starts.
