One of the most successful players in Giants history returns to the only NFL team he’s ever adapted to.
The Post reported that Chris Snee, the starting guard for two Super Bowl championship teams, has been hired as a new scout and has returned to the team.
Snee, 42, has made no secret of his desire to return to the Giants since retiring after the 2013 season.
A reunion almost happened in 2022, as general manager Joe Schon expressed interest in adding Snee as an offensive line scout in his first year on the job.
Snee and the team were unable to reach an agreement on the time commitment for the position.
The timing wasn’t right then, but the timing is now.
In 2022, Snee was hired as a football analyst by his alma mater, Boston University.
He previously worked as an offensive line scout for the Jaguars when former Giants head coach Tom Coughlin (Snee’s father-in-law) served as Jacksonville’s executive vice president.
As a second-round draft pick in 2004, Snee developed into a durable, reliable, and often dominant guard.

He played in the Pro Bowl four times, was named All-Pro in 2008, and served as an anchor, contributing to Super Bowl victories in the 2007 and 2011 seasons.
After 10 seasons with the Giants, Snee suffered hip and elbow injuries.
“He is one of the greatest offensive linemen in Giants history and will one day join the Giants’ Ring of Honor,” co-owner John Mara said at the time of his retirement.
Suni didn’t have to wait long. He was inducted into the Giants’ Ring of Honor in his 2015 year.
